Duty Free wine - how much wine you can bring back into the UK

When you go on holiday always check hoq much wine (and other items) you're allowed ot bring back in.

If you try and bring back in more items than you're allowed you can have your goods confiscated.

Normally 2 litres is allowed from non-EU countries.

If you have goods to declare at customs you must speak to a customs officer.

From EU countries you will be asked questions if you bring back over 90L of wine

You also have to consider these days that luggage allowances are reducing and carry on luggage has to meet certain sizes. This is going to mean that it is more difficult to bring huge amounts of wine back with you by plane, so ferry trips to Calais will remain popular!

It is worth checking with your travel agent or holiday rep about the limits imposed on cigarettes and wine.
